Ep 13. Cellaring Tips & Brewery Boyz Go Tasteless

The lagers are coming. Wayne uses frozen bottles and Jason, high-tech Brew jacket can help.

We do a brief 2017 recap and cover the best beer we had all year. Jason's travels took him to the South Carolina coast and he covers several great beers he found out there.

We talk about cellaring beers. There are several good reasons to cellar and give the beer some time. While for some, it's similar to collecting baseball cards, others just don't want to consume large bottles by themselves. Jason drops some serious science.

Some of the most commonly cellared beers are rare, highly sought after brews. Is the hype really worth the cost and effort? We share our thoughts on how the hype effects the perception of flavor, and ratings. Here are the top rated beers: https://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/top/ All this being said, the hype train drives trends and those trends effect average beers in a positive way.

Prices are going up. We tell you why you should get used to it and how good you've had it.

Beer twitter has erupted as of late. A few brewers have stepped into a steaming pile of trouble. It gets heavy at the 40 minute mark and runs to the end. If you are reading this, Wayne is probably still on his soap box. Read these and weep (probably literally)
