The New Job Responsibilities of Justine Mays

Justine Mays

Justine Mays

An Announcement from Colonel Steve Akley, Owner, ABV Network

The ABV Network is pleased to announce Justine Mays has taken over full responsibility of our new marketing division. In this role, she will serve with the title of Managing Partner and be responsible for merchandising for all ABV Network entities. This includes intellectual properties like our podcasts, TV shows and movies as well as our divisions like Bourbon Sasquatch Productions or our #ABVNetworkCrew Club. Most importantly, she will be handling the entire business for running our online ABV Network Shop.

All of this means she will handle all product selection, design, management of inventory, system entry and shipping. Most importably, Justine is responsible for managing a budget and the P&L statement for the division.

Justine has always been engaged and interested in our branding and when this opportunity came up to turn this over to her, it was a dream come true for her to manage her own business, but it’s a dream come true for the ABV Network as well because there isn’t a better person in the world to do what she’s doing. Not only does Justine have a keen eye for products that our audience would be interested in, I’ve witness the diligent approach to the customer service side when she was simply handling the shipping department. She has my trust and confidence to turn over this high profile and important component of my business to her.

In the short term, Justine is going through current inventory and assessing each product currently in the online store and clearing out some items via a big sale. Over the next few months you will begin to see the products she is working on at the moment begin to appear in the shop and we will work together to promote these as new items come in.

It should be noted Justine’s work on the air for The Bourbon Daily will not be impacted by this new role. She’ll continue to serve as our third announcer behind McNew and Miss Beka Sue.

So please join me in congratulating Justine Mays for the new position she has taken on at the ABV Network.

Finally, I would be remiss in making this announcement if I didn’t recognize Jeremy Schell for his contributions to the organization over the years. This isn’t the first time Jeremy saved the day with the organization (he overhauled our website and ran it for about a year while I was a 50-year-old trying to learn how a use a computer) but he really helped create everything you see with the store and the division Justine is now running. We had a store a few years ago, but got rid of it as we simply weren’t big enough at that time. Again, me not being very savvy on the computer, I abandoned the idea of ever having a store again, but Jeremy pitched me on the idea of bringing it back and we did. While he too will continue on at the Network on the air, he has now left the ABV Network Shop to focus on other business opportunities he has in the works. So, thank you Jeremy for your hard work, dedication to the Network and your friendship.

Good things ahead!
